In 2005, Accounting Choice was founded as an accounting firm by owner, Gawie Grobler. Our mission was clear: to assist businesses in reaching their full potential. We adopted a people-centric approach, valuing each individual and harbouring a genuine desire to witness businesses thrive. Their success became our success, and we were grateful for the opportunity to contribute to their growth.

Driven by his passion for entrepreneurship, Gawie embarked on this journey with unwavering determination.
After graduating from the University of Pretoria with a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance, Gawie’s initial professional goal was to work as a financial manager for a reputable corporation. However, fate had different plans for him when he began working for an accounting firm. It was here that Gawie discovered his true purpose in life – using his abilities to help others and find fulfilment. Through working closely with his supervisor and taking on a variety of responsibilities that expanded his knowledge, this experience laid the groundwork for his competence.
“The opportunities presented to me did not align with my dreams. I had a revelation. I needed to pursue my dreams and build a business from the ground up. I needed to do it as I envisioned it. The sheer belief that God would provide kept me going. Looking back, the sacrifices were worth it. This experience helped me understand dreams better.”
